For all those that didn’t already know, Genshiken is divided into five(5) committees, namely: Arts, Cosplay, Events Management, Performance, and Publications. This was done to make micromanagement of Genshiken Simpler.

Each committee acts like a sort of sub-organization within Genshiken, sort of like how a city has a fire department, police department, etc. Each Committee has a head, which acts as a sort of mini-president, and an Officer in Charge which acts as a sort of advisor providing assistance where needed.

The Arts Committee is charged with the production of not only drawn works, but also CG images, and sometimes even the production of props, and backdrops for cosplayers, and cosplay skits. Arts Com is one of the most active committees year round because of this producing advertisement images for not only Genshiken, but occasionally other organizations as well! People inclined in the arts are encouraged to join this committee, not only to help the organization, but to be able to help themselves by learning new techniques from other artists.

The Cosplay Committee is the committee that brings the most attention to Genshiken-LaSalle. They are usually requested to dress up for different events such as our semesteral recruitment, conventions, and other activities where we need to attract the eyes of passers. We encourage everyone to participate in this committee.

Next up we have the Events Management Committee. They are the bulk of Genshiken-LaSalles body. They run documents, help manage the other committees, and other remedial tasks that the officers are to busy to handle themselves.

Performance Committee is probably the least active year round, but that only means that when they get busy, they get BUSY. They are the Genshiken-LaSalle band, and they’ve performed at the Hero con ‘08, and OzineFest ‘09. Musical inclination is the only requirement here.

Last, but certainly not least… well, least in terms of member count, but despite that Publications committee has a job that is crucial to the function of this organization. They are the writers of the group. Charged with writing ads for the site, reviews of activities, and anything else involving text this committee always has something to do.
