Happy Sem Break Everyone!!

For Arts Com Members: We’re required to pass atleast one artwork (may it be a painting, a plushie, a clay sculpture, a drawing, and etc.) per week. There is no limit to how many you can pass per week. You may pass it to Z the Scanner at the kubo from mon-fri.

Please don’t forget to include your:

• full name
• Title of art
• Description (what you might want to say to your fans =P)
• Date

and if it’s a fan art, please include the names of the character(s), and which anime/manga/game/etc. they were from.

For people passing for the first time, please include your contact nos. , email adds, and DeviantArt accounts (if you have one.)

So, I’ve adopted a new method of maintaining our resources. If you haven’t been around the kubo, heres the basic idea of it. If something needs to be done I grab two or more people to do it, and they share the work. So heres the deal. I need Volunteers from Arts Com, Events Management, and Publications to take control of managing our bulletin board. Why these committees?

Arts – I need someone creative to make the things that will be posted. Preferably someone with Photo editing skills (MS paint is enough, but Photoshop, or some other specialized software expertise would be nice). Think of this role as “Image support”.

Events – I need someone that is willing, and able to stay updated on genshikens movements, and other things. This person will be the supplier of info the the rest of the team.

Publications – If you haven’t seen the layout that we have already its basically a manga page. I need a pub com member good in creative writing to translate the data Events gives him into a workable dialog to fit the Manga Page.

Right now I see this being at least a 3 man job, but the team can get as big as 5-6 I guess. If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions about this job please email to: genshiken@genshiken-lasalle.org

Also, the bulletin board must be updated at least every other week, so this job will be a bit time consuming.

The Real . . . an unusual structure hidden from the world’s eyes that maintains its own dimension within. No one knows who owns it, or why it was built, but it houses something special. Under special guidance, this structure has been utilized to host a most grand tournament!

Around the world, artists of many calibers have been invited to participate. Each artist obtains a special tool that suits their personal preferences. They very quickly discover that this tool is imbued with the ability to give the one and only holder the power to summon their OCs as physical beings!

Genshiken will be having its annual Art Exhibit in January titled “X-Hibit”. It will have three main themes, them being: Society/Youth Involvement, Fan Art, and “Bahala Kayo”

We have required that all members of the Genshiken Arts Committee please submit at least two (2) works, one for Society/Youth Involvement, and another work of your choice theme. Any Format is acceptable so long as it can be displayed in the gallery (Digital Art, Photography, Traditional, Sculpture, etc.)

We ask that you avoid the use of extreme gore and Obscenity. Also, Please include a short explanation for your works.
Deadline for submission is on January 10 (Saturday)

Guys, we need artists! Genshiken will be having an Art Gallery activity next year, but we are kinda lacking in new art work to feature. In light of this we would like to request that anyone with any sort of artistic ability to produce at least 1 work. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, anything; just be sure that it follows the theme of social awareness.

Each committee now has its own little Bulletin Board for updating its members Online! I would now like to request each of the heads to meet with me to do the following:

Promote their account here to allow them to Post News and Updates
Give them a small tutorial on HOW to
