Alright, hers the deal. The Web Management teams, simply referred to as the WMT for time and effort purposes, is kinda new,though the concept of it has been around since last year. This said it still is lacking in terms of a solid information network, and system of organization.

For clarity sake, the WMT is not a committee, it is a Team. What separates a team from other forms of grouping? Simply put, a Team, like any other group has members, but what makes a team special is that each member plays a specific roll. This means to say that each member of the team will be given a area of jurisdiction, an area of power, in which they will act as moderators, or managers.

Anyway, first order of bussiness is this. I need members for my team. Yes, people registered for this on the sheet, but this is the second part of the registration. (-_- yes, its a sloppy method) Please visit this page HERE and fill out the information requested. You do not need to have signed up for it during your registration, but those that did will be asked to fill that portion out will be sent text reminders.

I would like to ask that those that do sign up for a slot on the team remember that this team is new, and still a bit in the experimental stage. I ask that if anyone has any problems with to to discuss them with me so that I might be able to come up with a solution. Also, as a moderation/management team I would like to ask the each member of the team handle their roles with a level of maturity fit for the position.

So, I’ve adopted a new method of maintaining our resources. If you haven’t been around the kubo, heres the basic idea of it. If something needs to be done I grab two or more people to do it, and they share the work. So heres the deal. I need Volunteers from Arts Com, Events Management, and Publications to take control of managing our bulletin board. Why these committees?

Arts – I need someone creative to make the things that will be posted. Preferably someone with Photo editing skills (MS paint is enough, but Photoshop, or some other specialized software expertise would be nice). Think of this role as “Image support”.

Events – I need someone that is willing, and able to stay updated on genshikens movements, and other things. This person will be the supplier of info the the rest of the team.

Publications – If you haven’t seen the layout that we have already its basically a manga page. I need a pub com member good in creative writing to translate the data Events gives him into a workable dialog to fit the Manga Page.

Right now I see this being at least a 3 man job, but the team can get as big as 5-6 I guess. If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions about this job please email to: genshiken@genshiken-lasalle.org

Also, the bulletin board must be updated at least every other week, so this job will be a bit time consuming.

With the GA postponed I’ve figured that its time we started making use of ALL our communication resources! So, ALL of Events management is requested to please attend the up coming meetings for training on how to use our main site. The following is pour to do list:
Get EVERYONE Trained in using the main site
Begin training OTHER committee Heads in using the Main Site
Prepare for the up coming GA
Make sure the other committees are prepared
Prepare for the up coming Nihongo Seminar

Guys, this should go without say, but just as a reminder, never forget that EVERY Wednesday we have a body meeting at CTH101!

Our spiritual activity, originally headed by the DLSUD Lifters is now under the organizational prowess of the new org Y.E.A.S.T! Sadly, the new scheduled time of the activity is on the same day as our proposed date for our GA. In turn we have been forced to withdraw our participation in the actual event, but that isn’t to say that we won’t be helping. We would like to request any able bodied members to help with the new orgs activity via advertising! Yep, that means events com (Everyone) and arts com (the select elite >.<) will be busy. Arts com is requested to submit designs for flyers (information will be provided upon request) and everyone else is asked to help hand them out. Simple, enough, right?

Further more, Genshiken will no longer be advertising membership, though we will still be accepting anyone that would like to join. For more information please text:
